Mental Health Tip of the Day: When no options are good… …choose the least awful one.

Nurturing your mental health means making headache-inducing decisions every day, like should you take a shower when it feels like the hardest thing in the world to do, should you get out of bed to see your therapist when sleeping is so easy, should you take your meds when they have so many side effects. And unfortunately, there’s rarely an option that doesn’t come with some pretty terrible trade offs; there’s only the option that has the fewest terrible trade offs. So go for that one when you can, and suffer through knowing that maybe you couldn’t make a good choice, but you certainly made the best one. (In this case of those examples, the answers are probably, yes, and definitely.)
